Colonial Olive Trees in S.A.

Did you know?

In South Australia there are many century old olive trees still bearing high quality fruit known as Colonials. In fact the history of the Olive tree in South Australia goes back 165 years when George Stephenson, the secretary to Colonel Light imported several trees from the Mediterranean region. Olives prefer temperate climates, which is why areas around Adelaide and to the South—East have ideal climates for olive production.
